Posting From The i705
Posted by on July 19, 2002 11:44 PM The Palm i705 is an interesting device in that it's Palm.net service allows subscribers to load nearly any web page on the internet. One obvious exclusion is any page that entirely uses Flash, but thats not all that surprising. Something that is surprising, however, is the ability to post this column using this super compact PDA. I had tried to post before but had never been able to due to an inability to log in. I made a guess and correctly determined that the problem was my username, Tyler Regas. The space was apparently throwing off the Palm.net proxy server. This username seemingly did the trick, though, and I am publishing this item using the Graffiti language. It's a bit slow. I will continue to update this post to show, at least in some form, what it is like to use the i705 as a ubiquitous communications device. --Tyler Regas, Editor-in-Chief Email This Story
